Ultimate Earth Wind & Fire The Shuttleworth Collection, Biggleswade, 23 August 2009

Ultimate Earth Wind & Fire gave an absolutely blistering performance as this year’s headliners at the Shuttleworth Midsummer Picnic Concert Party.

Earlier in the day, we had been treated to some marvellous soul, disco and reggae hits from the likes of Alexander O’Neal, Aswad, Boney M and The Real Thing but it was the non-stop classics from the greatest disco band of all time which really stole the show.

Led by the fabulous voices of Tommy Blaize and Derek Green, the band got off to a belting start with ‘In The Stone’ from EWF’s classic ‘I Am’ album. This is some band and features some of the best session musicians in the country led by none other than David Arch, Musical Director on BBC TV’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

Ultimate Earth Wind & Fire are a top quality act. If you ever get the chance and see them play live, make sure you do. You will not be disappointed.
